Although there are four Navratri in a year, which include Chaitra Navratri, Sharad Navratri and two Gupt Navratri, but this year Chaitra Navratri is starting from 9th April, and will end on 17th April. Avoid buying iron items during Chaitra Navratri: It is advisable not to buy iron items during Navratri as it is believed that it brings financial crisis to the house.

Avoid buying electronic goods during Navratri: According to astrology, buying any electronic goods during the nine days of Chaitra Navratri is considered inauspicious. It is believed that this has a negative impact on the planets of the horoscope and may cause defects.

Avoid buying rice during Chaitra Navratri: Buying rice during Navratri is considered inauspicious as it is believed to destroy the virtue acquired during the auspicious period. Therefore, if one has to buy rice, it is advised to buy it before or after Navratri.
