Bhopal/ Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that by working with determination, passion and enthusiasm as a team, Madhya Pradesh will be taken to the top in the provision of health services. In the current budget, 34 percent more amount has been provided in the health sector as compared to last year. This increase in the health sector represents the priority of the government for the health sector. The Deputy Chief Minister said that work has been done to ensure access to excellent health services to every citizen through the Ayushman Bharat scheme. In the current financial year, 45 percent more budget has been provided for the Ayushman Bharat scheme as compared to last year. Attended the “Manch Madhya Pradesh” Medically Speaking program of private news channel India News at Sayaji Hotel in Bhopal. Efforts are being made in a planned manner by doing gap analysis in health services. The Deputy Chief Minister said that gap analysis has been done by deeply brainstorming the system of services in the health sector. In a discussion regarding the efforts and targets being made in the health sector in Madhya Pradesh, planned efforts are being made to fulfil these deficiencies. It was told that efforts are being made to increase the number of medical colleges to ensure availability of medical manpower along with health infrastructure development. Calling upon the medical community to provide services in rural areas, efforts are being made to bring community health centres to the district hospital level. Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) parameters are being implemented to strengthen health services. The government has created more than 46 thousand new posts. Efforts are being made to fill these posts in the next 2 years. The government is making continuous efforts to increase the availability of medical education. In the year 2003, only 5 government medical colleges were operating in the state. At present, 14 government medical colleges are operating. In the year 2024-25, 3 more government medical colleges will be operational in Mandsaur, Neemuch and Seoni. The government is making efforts to run 8 more medical colleges in the next 2 years. In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla honored doctors and social workers who did excellent work in the medical field.
