Why the demand to cancel Kangana Ranaut's position as Member of Parliament? The High Court issued a notice

A petition has been filed in the Himachal High Court against the membership of Kangana Ranaut, a BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal. In this petition, it has been demanded that Kangana's position as Member of Parliament should be revoked. The High Court has sent a notice to Kangana on this petition. The High Court has ordered Kangana to reply by August 21. Petitioner Laik Ram Negi has filed a petition against Kangana. He has requested the court to cancel Kangana's election. Naik is a former employee of the Forest Department. He got VRS earlier. Negi claims that he wanted to contest the election but the Mandi Returning Officer wrongly rejected his nomination. Kangana has to respond by August 21. Negi argues that if his nomination papers had been accepted, he would have won. In that petition, Laik Ram Negi has appealed to the court to cancel Kangana's election. On Negi's petition, Justice Jodhsna Rewal has issued a notice to Kangana to reply by August 21. Negi further said that at the time of nomination, they were also told to provide a no-dues certificate for electricity, water and telephone provided to the government accommodation. He was given time till the next day to issue this certificate. The next day when he gave the bonds to the Returning Officer, he refused to accept them and rejected the nomination. Kangana won the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh by a margin of 74,755 votes in the Lok Sabha elections. He defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by a margin of 74,755 votes. Bahujan Samajwadi Party's Dr Prakash Chandra Bhardwaj was third. Bhardwaj got 4393 votes.
