As MLA, MP, First Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, even though they have been continuously petitioning for 25 years, the people here are fed up. When the government's Hope Bridge collapsed, some people went to Dashrath Manji's route with shovels and built an 80-feet-long bridge at a cost of Rs 13 lakh. The current MP, MLA and First Deputy Chief Minister confirmed that the current MP, Girdhari Yadav, MLA, Professor Lalit Kumar Mandal, former MP, Jaiprakash Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was replaced by former MLA Subodh Roy. They inspected the place during their term of office. He promised to build a bridge and provide facilities to the people. After a series of promises, when the patience of the people here ran out, he took up the work of shoveling himself. Apart from this, the villagers collected donations and hired laborers on subsidized wages to prepare the bridge. An 80-feet long bridge was constructed through the efforts of Bhagirathan of Sarha village. More than Rs.50 thousand was spent annually for this purpose. Due to multiple expenses and lack of better facilities, the people here, especially Shiromani, Kageshwar Yadav, Sarpanch Vijay Yadav, Rambukar Gupta, Bihari Yadav and Manohar Yadav collected more than three lakh donations from the villagers. Following this, he collected about Rs.10 lakh from himself. The bridge was constructed at a total cost of Rs.13 lakhs. This bridge is made of 25 x 25 inch piers. Apart from this 300 workers were employed on concessional wages. The long wait ended with a collaborative effort. It is said: Bridge builder Saraha and the people of the surrounding area have been trying for the bridge for the past 50 years. Leaders of all parties behaved in a deceptive manner. Due to the negligence of the administration, the bridge had to be built by joint efforts. Villagers' solidarity with Chiramani and young social worker Pul Nirmam came to the fore when they boycotted the polls in unison before the Lok Sabha elections.
