The production company has the right over the different types of clothes that the hero or heroine wears during the shooting of films. After the shooting, the production company gives the clothes to its team which is called the costume department.

The job of this department is to take care of the costumes and see that the lead actor or actress does not get the same costume in another film of the same production.
