(Watch) Andre Russell rewarded with hug and kiss by Shah Rukh Khan after impressive performance

Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was excited to watch Andre Russell smashing sixes and fours in his unbeaten knock of 64 off 25. The innings helped Kolkata register a four-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens. After the team’s winning start to IPL 2024, Shah Rukh met the West Indies all-rounder.

SRK watched the proceedings from the VIP Box at the Eden Gardens and enjoyed Russell’s innings in which he hit seven sixes and 3 fours to take the total to 208/7 in 20 overs.

After the game, the Bollywood superstar took a victory to thank fans for the support. He also stopped Andre Russell’s interview to hug and plant a kiss for his sensational knock and two wickets.

Andre opened up on his bond with Shah Rukh Khan. “It is nice to have him with us. He wants us to do well and we as a group want to perform for him,” Andre Russell said.

The all-rounder also spoke about the sacrifices he made in the last 12 months. “I have been involved in a lot of hard work. I have cut down on certain things as I am growing older. I am happy with my body. I feel light. The more I play, the better my fitness will become. It will improve my performance as well.”
