Voting boycott, BJP candidate Arjun Ram’s car hit by a camper going to provide water: Appeal through sand art also – News India Live
In the festival of democracy, villagers in Dasanu village of Nokha assembly constituency of Bikaner Lok Sabha seat have boycotted the elections. There is only one polling station here. There is resentment among the villagers over the lack of basic facilities.
The villagers are demanding to be connected with the rural road from the Panchayat headquarters. However, voting started with the advice of the administration. But, only one woman cast her vote. CO Himanshu Sharma, IPS Aditya Kakade, Naib Tehsildar Narsingh Tak are counseling the villagers on the spot.
On the other hand, the car of BJP candidate Arjun Ram Meghwal was hit by a camper which was going to deliver water. However, no one was injured. But, Meghwal’s SUV has been damaged. The incident took place at Bothra Chowk-1 of Gangashahr.
Earlier, Union Minister and BJP candidate from Bikaner Lok Sabha constituency Arjunram Meghwal offered prayers at home before going to vote. After this, he came to vote with his wife Panadevi, sons Ravishekhar and Naveen. Other family members were also with him. Meghwal voted at around 8 o’clock.
There was enthusiasm about voting among the villagers of Lunkaransar assembly constituency. Here an appeal for voting was made through sand art.
