Volatility: Sensex slips from highs on slight rise in Nifty
SENSEX: In volatile trade, the benchmark Sensex index of the Mumbai Stock Exchange (BSE) fell from a high of 80000 on Friday, July 5, 2024, the last day of the trading week. By the close of trade, the Sensex was down 53.07 points at 79,996.60. The Sensex fell 474.80 points to 79,574.87 in morning trade. At the end of the trade, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) ended a slight gain of 12 points at a record high of 24,314.15. It fell 99.70 points to 24,202.45 in morning trade. Apart from this, the holdings include HDFC Bank, Vodafone Idea, ACC, Titan, Aditya Birla Finance, Bandhan Bank, JK Cement, Ramco Cement, Citi Union Bank, Tata Steel, Apollo Tyres, Mahindra & Mahindra and Dr Lal Path Lab. losers.
