VN-Index rises slightly – VnExpress International

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 0.38% to 1,221.03 points Friday.
The index closed 4.67 points higher after gaining 6.84 points in the previous session.
Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange increased by 18% to VND17.027 trillion (US$667 million).
The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 16 tickers gained.
HDB of private lender HDBank went up 3.4%, TCB of the largest private lender Techcombank grew 2.9%, VRE of retail real estate arm Vincom Retail closed 2.9% higher.
Twelve bluechips fell. GVR of Vietnam Rubber Group slid 2%, POW of electricity producer Petrovietnam Power Corporation closed 1.4% lower, FPT of IT giant FPT Corporation went down 1.1%
Foreign investors were net buyers to the tune of VND552 billion, mainly buying MWG of electronics retail chain Mobile World and FPT of FPT Corporation.
The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, home to mid and small caps, rose 0.32%, while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market went up 0.07%.
