Vinamilk takes its innovation story to global dairy conference

The 2024 Global Dairy Conference took place on June 25-27 in London, the U.K., attracting more than 200 companies from around the world, including Vinamilk, to discuss the role and contribution of the dairy industry to sustainable development.
With the theme “Healthy People, Healthy Planet,” the conference emphasized the challenges and opportunities and strategic innovation for sustainable development.

Vinamilk’s presentation in the discussion section on Branding for the future carried the message “Care to Change.”
Nguyen Quang Tri, Marketing Executive Director of Vinamilk, introduced the company’s new identity for the first time to big global companies, and told the story of a billion-dollar brand integrating world trends.
Tri’s presentation analyzing the brand’s innovation journey of nearly five decades drew close attention.
This innovation is based on 4 columns: future generations, better nutrition, customer experience, and a sustainable future.
These create momentum for the development of Vinamilk and the dairy industry in general, he said.
“We change for you” was the message delivered by the Vinamilk executive, reflecting its commitment to the community when changing its brand identity.
“Changing a brand that has been around for nearly half a century is a challenging decision. But the change has been received well and beyond our expectations.”

Speaking about offering nutritional solutions, Tri cited the example of the Vinamilk Green Farm fresh milk product line, saying the company applies dual vacuum technology to help preserve the natural aromas with floral undertones and a sweet and buttery aftertaste. which include a hint of grass and flowers and a sweet aftertaste.
Green Farm is a continuation of Vinamilk’s journey to build a “new world,” leading to a series of innovation campaigns in other product lines, he said.
With its strategy to improve the customer experience, the company applies conversion technology between online and direct channels to ensure uniformity.
Vinamilk’s goal is to connect current consumers.
For new customers, the feeling of excitement helps them transition to accessing the world of Vinamilk.

Sustainable development is one of the main goals in Vinamilk’s strategy.
It is now considered to be among the most sustainable global dairy brands.
In 2023 the company announced its net zero target road map for then through 2050.
In the year since the announcement Vinamilk has achieved the target of getting one farm and two plants certified as carbon neutral under PAS 2060:2014 standards.
It is also the first Vietnamese company to sign up to support Pathways to Dairy Net Zero.
Richard Hall, Chairman of the Global Dairy Conference, said it was evident from the presentations that all businesses agree that product’s quality is a prerequisite.
There is awareness of and action to achieve sustainable development, he said.

Hall said Vinamilk is a typical example of the convergence of the above factors as reflected by its Green Farm strategy, farms and products.
“This comes from their efforts to reduce emissions from farms, products and many other aspects of the value chain.”
Dr. Timothy Robinson, Independent Advisor to the Global Dairy Sustainable Development Framework, said sustainable development is a big issue for the industry.
He deeply appreciated Vinamilk’s recent accomplishments.
The doctor expected more cooperation between Vietnam and the Global Dairy Industry Initiative on Net Zero and the country’s deeper participation in the Sustainable Development Framework for the dairy industry.
“This can support Vinamilk and Vietnam’s programs.”
The Global Dairy Conference is a high-level forum of the dairy industry that gathers businesses, executives and experts from around the world.
The annual event was held for the 17th year.
For many years Vinamilk has represented Vietnam and shared a number of stories about the development of the industry in the country.
