Vande Bharat Trains Update: After the huge success of Vande Bharat Express trains across the nation, the Indian Railways is going to launch its Vande Bharat Sleeper trains soon and if the reports are to be believed, India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will run between Agra and Gorakhpur, which are two of the most popular stopovers in Uttar Pradesh.
Agra Fort-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Route Details
The newly launched Vande Bharat sleeper train between Agra Fort and Gorakhpur will run for six days a week and its number is expected to be 22584 . The Agra Fort-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Sleeper train will leave from Agra Fort at 5 AM and reach its destination, i.e., Gorakhpur, by 7 PM. In its return, the Gorakhpur-Agra Fort Vande Bharat Sleeper train (22583) will leave from Gorakhpur at 7 PM in the evening and reach its destination, Agra Fort, by 5 AM the next day, as per a report by Jagran.
For the unversed, the Indian Railways is planning to introduce a sleeper variant of the Vande Bharat trains and complete important railway projects in Jammu and Kashmir within the first 100 days of the new government’s tenure, said railway officials while talking to ET, adding that the 100-day plan includes the finalization of the rolling stock procurement process for the bullet train’s trial run by August 2026.
Update On India’s First Bullet Train
“India’s first bullet train will be ready in 2026, and will run in one section from Surat,” said Ashwini Vaishnaw during the event, adding that the government is working on the 508-km-long Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR (highspeed rail) project, which will cover Surat-Bilimora in Gujarat, and the full stretch is expected to be completed in 2028.
