Islamabad, May 28 (HS). A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Tulamba area of Punjab province of Pakistan. Here two orphan sisters were tortured on the charge of stealing books from the madrasa. After this, their fingers were burnt. This has been revealed by Pakistan’s news channel ARY News. The mother of the victim girls alleged that persons named Mudassir and Maqsood along with others tortured her daughters. The girls were taken to a tent and tied with ropes and hung. The woman claims that the attackers later handed her and the girls over to the police. The mother of the victim girls claimed, “The police released me and my daughters on the guarantee of non-medical examination.”
The woman has accused the police officials of negligence and insisted that medical examination and justice of her daughters is necessary. DSP Salim Rath has confirmed that the girls are accused of stealing books from the madrasa and giving them to someone else. He mentioned that the incident took place a few days ago and assured that he is currently investigating the case. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
