After the killing of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Tamil Nadu unit president K Armstrong, there is a lot of anger among the party workers. Bahujan Samaj Party members gathered in front of the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital mortuary and raised slogans demanding the arrest of the culprits. The protesters said they had no faith in the Tamil Nadu government and demanded a CBI probe into the murder. Apart from this, it has also been urged that the CEO M.K.Stalin should resign. At the same time, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati appealed to the workers to remain calm. After sharing a post, Armstrong was brutally murdered outside his residence in Chennai last evening, sending ripples of sadness and anger across the community. The government should take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening again. Considering the seriousness of this very sad and disturbing incident, I plan to go to Chennai tomorrow morning to pay my respects to Armstrong and to meet his bereaved family. This is a plea for everyone to keep calm. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, “I am deeply shocked by the brutal and disgusting killing of Bahujan Samaj Party's Tamil Nadu President Mr. Armstrong,” as Bahujan Samaj Party members staged a road blockade. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and supporters. Tamil Nadu Congress leaders are in constant touch with the state government and I am sure the government will ensure that the culprits are brought to justice soon. Enraged by the murder, activists and supporters staged a road blockade in front of the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital on Poontamalli Highway in Chennai.
