'To fight Mamta, you will have to come to Ram's house', BJP wants to take advantage of Kharge's warning, gave this big offer to Adhir Ranjan.
New Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is becoming isolated in his own party due to his aggressive stance against Mamata Banerjee. Mamata and other TMC leaders have repeatedly termed Adhir as a “BJP agent”. Recently, Mamata had said that if India forms a coalition government, TMC will support it. In response to this, Adhir Ranjan commented that Mamata cannot be trusted. After his statement, Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge also retaliated and made it clear that any decision regarding Mamata will be taken by Kharge herself or the high command Sonia Gandhi. After Kharge's statement, BJP took advantage of the opportunity, with Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar inviting Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to switch parties.
In an interview to a TV channel during a campaign on Saturday, Sukant Majumdar said, “I would tell Adhirda that if you want to fight against Mamata Banerjee, find a suitable place. The house you are in is full of terror. Leave the house and come to Ram's house. Notably, a fake message is already circulating on social media, claiming that Adhir Chaudhary will join BJP in June. Adhir has denied this viral message. However, after Mallikarjun Kharge's 'warning' to Adhir, speculations have intensified again.
Giving a strong message to Adhir Choudhary on the Mamata issue, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Adhir Ranjan Choudhary will not take the decision, we will decide, the Congress party will take the decision.” We are the high command. Whatever we say must be followed, otherwise we will have to leave it. Mamata Banerjee has always talked about external support and this is nothing new. The UPA government initially got external support from the Left parties also. Later Mamata also said that she is a part of India, a coalition will be formed and if the government is formed, she will join it.
After Kharge's warning, Adhir Ranjan said in a press conference at the Congress office in Baharampur, “It is not possible for anyone to destroy the Congress.” As a party soldier, I cannot stop this fight. My protest is a moral protest.” I have no personal enmity. I am fighting to save my party in West Bengal.”
