Three terrorists were shot dead by security forces in a failed infiltration bid in Kupwara
Indian security forces on Sunday foiled a major attempt by terrorists to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir. In this area along the India-Pakistan border, the army has shot dead 3 terrorists who had infiltrated so far. An infiltration attempt along the LOC at Kupwara was foiled today. During this, three terrorists were killed. Soldiers reportedly spotted movement of heavily armed terrorists near the Line of Control in Kupwara's Keran sector. A large-scale search was then conducted. Army has recovered a large number of weapons. Recently there has been an increase in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. The terror attacks took place during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra in South Kashmir. On June 9, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet were sworn in, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Riasi. Then the bus fell into a ditch and 9 people died. Terrorists will be punished soon – Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha had said that he saluted the bravery of our soldiers who lost their lives in the Kathua terror attack on July 9 last. My deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs. Anti-terrorism operations are underway. The terrorists behind this attack will be punished soon. If we look at the terrorist attacks in Jammu region in June and the report given by the former DGP, it is clear that the terrorists attack from place to place. Security forces are also being cheated. The easy escape of the terrorists from the ambush indicates the presence of their accomplices in the area.
