This was the reason why Shri Krishna did not marry Radha, know what the Puranas say
The holy festival of ‘Radha Ashtami’ (Radha Ashtami 2024) will be celebrated across the country on Wednesday, September 11. According to religious beliefs, the worship of Lord Krishna is considered incomplete without the worship of Radha Rani. Like Krishna Janmashtami, the festival of ‘Radha Ashtami’ is celebrated with great pomp and gaiety across the country.
After Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami is the second biggest festival for Krishna devotees. On this day, Radha Rani’s Prakatya Divas is celebrated with full rituals. In Krishna temples, special prayers are offered to Lord Krishna along with Radha. Radha Ji was born on Bhadrapada Shukla Ashtami in the Rawal village of Mathura. Her mother was Kirti and father was Vrishbhanu Ji.
According to the Jyotish Guru, whenever the name of Radha Rani is mentioned, the name of Shri Krishna automatically comes to the tongue. Wherever Lord Krishna is mentioned, it is impossible that Radha Rani is not there, both are incomplete without each other and whenever the definition of love is given, the example of Radha-Krishna definitely comes up.
