That's why this place is so beautiful and peaceful. The valley was discovered by the British botanist Robert Byte, exactly 100 years before independence, i.e. in 1847. Locals believe that this is where the Pandavas took refuge. Silent Valley Spread over an area of ​​238 km, the Silent Valley National Park is spread over an area of ​​about 238 square kilometers. A wide variety of flora and fauna can be found in this very soft, tropical evergreen rainforest. One part of the valley lies in the Nilgiri Plateau and another part in the Mannarkadu Plain. This place is much cooler than other forests. The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve is believed to be the heart of the Silent Valley. This place is nothing short of a paradise for students and scientists. 110 species of orchids, more than 34 species of mammals, 400 species of moths, 16 species of birds, 200 species of butterflies, 128 species of beetles and 150 species of birds are found here. Silent Valley is included in the World Heritage. At the same time, lakhs of tourists visit this place every year.
