According to reports, Dr Helen Mary Roberts, serving in Pakistan’s Medical Corps, has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier. With this, Dr Helen Mary is the first female minority in the history of the country to get such a high post in the Pakistani Army. Brigadier Dr Helen Mary of the Christian community is among those Pakistani army officers who were promoted as Brigadier and full Colonel by the selection board.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Helen on her promotion as Brigadier. In this regard, PM Shahbaz Sharif said that the whole country is proud of her and thousands of hardworking women like her from minority communities who are serving the country.
