The Supreme Court has issued an action order in the case of the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. Hearing this petition, the court ordered to remove all the photos of the victim from the social media. The petitioner said the rape victim's identity cannot be made public as per the Supreme Court's order. However, the victim's photo is on social media platforms. The Chief Justice then ordered to remove it. In a petition filed in the Supreme Court, the publication of the doctor's photograph and his family's identity has damaged the reputation of the family. Along with major social media platforms, several central government ministries were also made parties to the petition. Earlier, the Kolkata High Court appealed to people not to reveal the identity of the victim and asked them to refrain from sharing the photo on social media. Earlier, the Supreme Court had taken up the Kolkata incident and set up a National Task Force on Doctors. The court raised questions on several aspects related to the incident. The Supreme Court has directed the CBI, which is investigating the incident, to file a status report by August 22. Along with this, orders were also issued to set up a National Task Force for the Safety of Doctors in Hospitals. Questions were raised about the chancellor's re-appointment at today's hearing, where the crime appears to have been discovered early in the morning, but the medical college principal tried to call it suicide. Along with this, the court said that while the conduct of the principal of RG Khar Medical College and Hospital was under investigation, he was immediately posted in some other colleges.
