The stock market ended with a strong rally, with the Sensex rocketing to 597.67 points
Stock market: Due to all-round positive trend globally, domestic stock market ended 2024 with strong gains on Tuesday 3rd December. The benchmark Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange (BSE) rocketed up 597.67 points or 0.74% to close at 80,845.75 points. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty also gained 166.00 points or 0.68% at 24,442.05 points on a bullet train. On Monday, the Sensex ended a strong gain of 445.29 points or 0.56% at 80,248.08 points and the Nifty gained 140.85 points or 0.58% at 24,271.95 points. GIFT Nifty closed up 111.50 points or 0.45% at 24,533.50 points. Adani Ports was the top gainer in the stock market trading, while 25 stocks were in gain while 5 stocks were down in BSE Sensex's 30 companies. Adani Ports shares have gained the most. Its shares rose 6.02% to close at Rs 1288.80. It opened at Rs 1254.80 with a gain of 3.22% when the market activity started. Its shares also closed at Rs 1285.50 with a gain of 5.73% on the NSE. Bharti Airtel is the biggest loser on BSE. Its stock fell 1.43% to Rs 1619.65, while on the NSE it fell 1.47% to Rs 1619.40.
