Stock Market All Time High: The Indian stock market is continuously making new all-time highs with record-breaking gains. After the big fall recorded during the Lok Sabha election results, the Sensex has risen by 6964.86 points in just 16 trading sessions. Sensex and Nifty are making record after record in June.
The stock market has been on a rise for the last six months
The current calendar year has been bullish for the stock market. It took 37 days to reach 74000 from 73000 on January 15. Later it took 21 days to reach 75000 from 74000, while it took 30 days to reach 76000. Whereas in June it crossed 77000 in 10 days, 78000 in 15 days and 79000 in 2 days. Nifty has also crossed the level of 24000. Today a historical high of 24087.45 was recorded.
Reaction to the Lok Sabha election results is a minor improvement
Investors suffered huge losses during the Lok Sabha election results on June 4. There was a loss of about Rs 30 lakh crore in capital. But since then, due to the bullish trend in the stock market, investors’ capital has increased by Rs 44.01 lakh crore. The Sensex also rose by about 7000 points.
Today’s Sensex and Nifty Status
The Sensex today touched a record high of 79396.03 after opening on a correction. The Nifty was trading 18.10 points lower at 23850.70 at 10.50 after hitting a high of 23974.70. 11 stocks of the Sensex pack were trading in the green zone and 19 in the red zone. On the BSE, 233 stocks hit the upper circuit, 156 stocks hit the lower circuit while 240 stocks hit year’s high and 22 stocks hit year’s low. In the end, the Sensex closed 568.93 points higher at 79243.18 and the Nifty closed 175.70 points higher at 24044.50.
In the Nifty50, UltraTech Cement, Grasim, Dr. Reddy’s, JSW Steel, Hindustan Unilever stocks were the top gainers, gaining up to 4 per cent. Maruti Suzuki lost 1.22 per cent, Shriram Finance 0.97 per cent, Coal India 0.96 per cent, Larsen & Toubro 0.94 per cent and HCL Tech 0.88 per cent.
