Teacher Appointment Scam: Former state education minister Partha Chatterjee and her girlfriend Arpita Mukherjee's problems in the teacher appointment scam in West Bengal are set to escalate. After central investigative agencies ED and CBI, his assets are now under the watch of the Income Tax department. The Income Tax Department has started the process of confiscating the properties of Barth and Arpita. Currently, both Barth and Arpita are in jail. Sources in the Income Tax Department said that the two were interrogated several times in jail at different times after obtaining permission from the court. During this an attempt was made to know his assets and sources of income. In the investigation conducted by the Income Tax Department officials that there are properties worth crores in 16 places, the Income Tax Department officials have said that they have properties in 16 places in the name of both of them. Where did Barth and Arpita get the money to build these properties and what was their income, neither of them could give a proper answer to these questions. After this, preparations are being made to confiscate these assets. It is noteworthy that both Barth and Arpita have been in jail for a long time in the teacher appointment corruption case. Both were arrested by the ED. Then crores of rupees were seized from Arpita Mukherjee's house. Apart from this, a lot of jewelery was also recovered.
