TDP BJP Lok Sabha Election Results: Chandrababu Naidu May Make Heavy Demands To Stay In Modi Govt
The Telugu Desam Party has emerged as the second largest party in the National Democratic Alliance after winning 16 seats in the Lok Sabha Elections-2024. Based on this process, Chandrababu Naidu's party can make special demands to the BJP in the central government. Reports suggest that Telugu Desam Party wants some important ministerial posts including Speaker and may raise this demand before Narendra Modi. In fact, there is a meeting of NDA leaders with PM Modi. This meeting is held before the formation of the government, in which the participation and role of NDA members in the central government can be discussed. How many ministerial posts and portfolio sharing can be discussed. In the meeting, TDP and JDU may demand some economic packages for their respective states. The Telugu Desam Party may seek help from the central government for the development of Vijayawada, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The ministerial posts given to Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manji may also be discussed. This is important from the message of mutual bond and mutual trust among the NDA constituencies as efforts are being made by the All India Alliance to put pressure on Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar. BJP's needed allies include Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Janata Dal (United) chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas LJP) chief Chirak Paswan will attend the meeting. Apart from these leaders, important leaders of BJP and its other allied parties will also attend this meeting. TDP, JDU, Shinde-led Shiv Sena and LJP (Ram Vilas) have won 16, 12, seven and five Lok Sabha seats respectively and these parties will play an important role in forming the government. This time, the face of the new government is likely to change as the BJP did not get a majority and had to depend on coalition parties. The NDA has crossed a majority of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha, while the BJP has fallen short of the magical majority for the first time since 2014.
