'Tape put on Congress button in EVM', election officials accused of rigging in PM Modi's parliamentary constituency, watch video
Lok Sabha Election 2024. In the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on in 57 seats of eight states and union territories since 7 am. Voting is also going on in 13 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi, the opposition has accused the election officials of rigging.
It is being told that during voting in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, a white paper was found pasted on the election symbol 'Panja' of the Congress India Alliance candidate. The alliance workers lodged their objection to this. There is a direct contest between PM Narendra Modi and Ajay Rai of the Congress alliance on this seat. Arvind Kejriwal contested the election on this seat in 2019.

Samajwadi Party wrote on social media that in Rohaniya assembly of Varanasi Lok Sabha, tape was put over the Congress party button at booth number 191, 192, 193, rigging is being done by the election officials. Election Commission should take cognizance, fair voting should be ensured.
