During this time, Pakistan team can be announced for the World Cup. But still the chaos in Pakistan cricket is not showing an end. Before the World Cup, the medical head of Pakistan Cricket Board has resigned.
There was a delay in the bowler’s treatment
Due to criticism of Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB Medical Chief Dr. Sohail Saleem has given a big shock by resigning from his post. Actually, fast bowler Ihsanullah had suffered an elbow injury in April last year. After which there was some delay in the bowler’s treatment. The bowler also did not receive the rehabilitation process required for his condition, exposing the medical chief’s shortcomings and drawing criticism. After which a three-member panel was formed and the matter was investigated. It was revealed that Dr. Sohail Saleem had recommended surgery for the bowler, which was a hasty decision. Because as per the advice of experts, now the bowler did not need surgery.
Information given by PCB
The resignation of Dr. Sohail Saleem was announced by issuing an official statement from the PCB. Sohail left his post in the year 2021. After which he was recalled in the year 2023. Now his second term has ended. Actually bowler Ihsanullah was injured in April 2023. Within this one year, the PCB had very little information about the injuries of the bowlers. After which Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen raised this issue on social media and said that the expense of the recovery of bowler Ihsanullah has been borne by Multan Sultans and not by Pakistan Cricket. Since then the matter has heated up, on which PCB has taken cognizance.
