Stone pelting on Ganesh idol: Who is spoiling the atmosphere of Ratlam? Security increased

Madhya Pradesh News: On Saturday, some people were carrying the idol of Lord Ganesha for installation in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, some unknown people started pelting stones on the idol of Lord Ganesha in Mochipura area. After the stone pelting, an atmosphere of tension prevailed in the city, after which the police increased security in many important areas of the city. Police said on Sunday that the idol being taken for 10-day installation was pelted with stones by some unknown people last night.
A police officer said that when the police reached the spot after getting the information, the vehicle was found in a damaged condition. The police have registered a case against unknown people and are now investigating.
Demand for action by gheraoing the police station
According to media reports, Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha said that about 500 people had surrounded the police station located on Station Road on Saturday night. These people have demanded that action should be taken against those who pelted stones on the idol of Lord Ganesha being taken for installation in Mochipura area on Saturday night. The Superintendent of Police said that the situation is under control at present.
Police used batons
After the complaint, the police registered a case against unknown people and went to the spot for investigation. Meanwhile, the police reached the spot chasing the crowd. During this, someone started pelting stones in which a stone hit the glass of the police vehicle, breaking the glass.
Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha said that the police force had to use lathis to control the crowd. After the police used lathis, people started running away from the spot. More police force has been called from Ratlam's Jaura town and Dhar district to maintain peace in the city.
