Among the 30 companies listed on the Sensex, the top gainers were Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Power Grid, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors and Larsen & Toubro. In Asian markets, South Korea's Kospi, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, Japan's Nikkei 225 and China's Shanghai Composite were bullish. US markets ended on a positive note on Monday. International benchmark Brent crude was up 0.93 percent at $74.59 a barrel, according to a PTI-language report. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers on Monday and bought shares worth a net Rs 404.42 crore, according to stock market data.
