Sports: Madrid Open: Final between Felix and Rublev today

Unseeded Canadian Felix Aguirre Aliassime will face Andre Rublev in the men’s singles final of the Madrid Open tennis tournament on Sunday. World number 30 Jiri Lehka suffered an injury with the first set tied at 3-3 and was forced to retire. In the other semi-final, seventh seed Andre Rublev defeated 12th seed Taylor Fitz of America 6-4, 6-3. The men’s singles final will be played on Sunday. Rublev will be looking for the 16th title of his career and second title of this year. He won the Hong Kong Open in January. Canadian player Felix, who defeated Casper Ruud this week, will take to the court to win the sixth ATP title of his career. The Madrid Open has seen a steady increase in player injuries. Djokovic withdrew before the tournament. Daniil Medvedev bowed out of the quarterfinals ahead of Sinner and Lehka. Alcaraz’s right hand was also injured. Taylor Fitz has a 5-3 record against Rublev. He had earlier won the Delray Beach Open title in February.
