South Korea emergency martial law : South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday announced the lifting of martial law just six hours after imposing it. Yun's cabinet approved the proposal to repeal martial law. During this period there was political turmoil. After the announcement, protesters cheered and said, “We won.” Parliament voted to repeal martial law.
