Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is celebrating her 37th birthday today i.e. 2 June 2024. Today Sonakshi Sinha is showing her acting skills in films as well as web series. But did you know that there was a time when Sonakshi didn’t want to be an actress. But after hearing one thing from Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha established herself not only as an actress but also as a Dabangg girl of Bollywood.
Sonakshi Sinha did not think of becoming an actress
Born on 2 June 1987 to veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. Sonakshi Sinha studied fashion designing. He started his career as a costume designer with the movie ‘Mera Dil Leke Dekho’ released in 2005. Till now Sonakshi Sinha did not even think of becoming an actress.
Salman asked to lose weight
But perhaps there was something else in his destiny. Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. Sonakshi Sinha was overweight before debuting with Dabangg. Sonakshi Sinha talking about the incident related to Dabangg on The Kapil Sharma Show said, He (Salman) came to me and asked me to lose weight because he was excited to cast me in his film.
Talking to Arbaaz Khan in a chat show, Sonakshi Sinha said, ‘You must have seen how fat I was before Dabangg. I was living an unhealthy life, I was not fit at all and I lost 30 kgs for Dabangg.
Talking about Sonakshi Sinha’s work front, the actress was recently seen playing a powerful character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Hiramandi’. Sonakshi Sinha explores her wide acting range playing the grey-shaded character of Fardeen in ‘Hiramandi’.
Before ‘Hiramandi’, Sonakshi Sinha was seen in the role of a strong police officer in the web series ‘Dahad’. Apart from this, the actress has appeared in many films like ‘Dabangg’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Son of Sardar’, ‘R…Rajkumar’, ‘Kalank’, ‘Lootera’, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’.
