Shaitaan: Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan’s Movie Report Card Out; Gets THIS Certificate From CBFC | Deets Inside
Shaitaan Movie Certificate: The much-awaited film ‘Shaitaan,’ starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika, is gearing up for its release on March 8, 2024. However, before its theatrical debut, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certified the film with a U/A rating, but not without a few alterations, as per reports.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, ‘Shaitaan’ is a remake of the Gujarati film ‘Vash’ and has garnered attention for its intriguing storyline centred around black magic. The CBFC has mandated several changes to the film to align with its guidelines. The movie is all set for its theatrical release, however, reports reveal that the movie has got one cut and four modifications resulting in its final runtime being 132 minutes.
At the trailer launch, R Madhavan, who plays the antagonist in the film, expressed his gratitude towards Ajay Devgn for offering him the role, calling Devgn a “sher dil” (braveheart) and the ‘Singham’ of the industry. Devgn, on the other hand, revealed that he chose not to play the negative role as he connected more with the emotions of a helpless father in the movie.
‘When we started shooting, the first thing Maddy (Madhavan) told me was: ‘Why aren’t you doing this role, why have you given it to me?’. I told him, ‘I really feel for the character of the father, so I will not be able to do justice to the other character. It’s a stronger character though,” Devgn shared.
