Sanjay Dudu's documentary 'Man Melody and Dolls' was selected at the International Film Festival

Jamshedpur: City-based young filmmaker Sanjay Dudu's documentary 'Man Melody and Dolls' has been featured in the “Lindon Days 2024 International Ethnographic Film Festival”. The film festival will be held in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia from July 19 to 26. The screening of 'Man Melody and Dolls' will be held on 25th July. 'Man, Melody and Dolls' is based on the life struggle of Thoman Murmu, a resident of Raiganj in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal, based on the ancient art of puppetry of the Santhal community. Doman Murmu was a puppeteer whose life was full of hardships, but he showed unwavering dedication to his art. Sanjay Dudu showcased Murmu's unique talent and dedication to his art through this film. Sanjay Dudu says the aim of the documentary is to revive this ancient art of the Santhal community and give it recognition in the international arena. Murmu's story is not only inspiring but also shows how a person's dedication and determination can overcome any difficulty. Selection of 'Man Melody and Dolls' is an important achievement which proves the hard work and vision of Sanjay Dudu. Screening of the film at this festival will certainly give global recognition to the art of puppetry of the Santhal community and the struggle and dedication of artistes like Doman Murmu has earned young tribal filmmaker Sanjay Dudu screened the film Jamshedpur in Pune & started his filmmaking journey with a diploma from a television institute. Sanjay Dudu has made a mark in the film industry using his editing skills. Sanjay had edited the movie “Aswathama” with Pushpendra Singh. It premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2017. The film “Aswathama” gave him a unique identity on the national stage. The short film 'Days of Autumn' edited by Sanjay won the Best Film Award at the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala 2016. Sanjay Dudu, who worked as an assistant director in 'Rangmahal', also worked as an assistant director in Pratibha Prantik Basu's 'Rangmahal'. It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019. Sanjay Kumar Dudu's editing skills have shined in various nationally and internationally acclaimed short films and documentaries. His extraordinary contribution was recognized at the First Cut Film Festival in 2019. He won Best Editor (Documentary) for 'TheMournersAlley'. Sanjay Tudu was originally a resident of Teretih village (near Chandil Dam) in Chandil region. Graduated in Mass Communication from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Whereas in the year 2018 he studied PG Diploma in Film Editing from Institute of Film and Television, Pune. Sanjay Tudu is also producing a film about displaced people in Chand. The shooting of this will take place soon. The film is titled as Deesemruwada Singh in Santali. When will you return to its name in English?
