The four arrested accused are members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They had conducted recce of the farm house and several shooting locations. They were ordered to fire on Salman Khan with AK-47 and several other weapons. Police have recovered several such videos from the mobile phones of the accused.

The names of these four shooters are Dhanjay Singh Tape Singh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Zeeshan Khan alias Javed Khan. All four shooters are members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It is believed that before attacking Galaxy Apartment, these four had done a recce of Salman Khan's Panvel farm house and the places around it. They had first planned to attack the Panvel farm house.

According to police sources, the police had received information that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his Canada-based cousin Anmol Bishnoi and his partner Goldie Brar, had conspired to kill actor Salman Khan by purchasing AK-47, M-16 and AK-92 and other sophisticated weapons from a Pakistani arms dealer. In the plan prepared by the arrested criminals and the gang, their aim was to stop Salman Khan's car or raid his farmhouse.

Early in the morning, two unknown people fired three to four rounds in the air outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. Both the shooters came on a bike and then fled after firing in the air. Both were wearing helmets, due to which they could not be identified. Marks of those bullets were also found outside Salman's apartment. One bullet also passed through the net of his balcony. Lawrence's brother Anmol Bishnoi took responsibility for this incident on social media.
