Salman Khan reviews ‘Laapataa Ladies’: ‘Kiran Rao, when will you work with me?’
He mentioned that he and his father thoroughly enjoyed the film. In his appreciation post on X (formerly known as Twitter), he expressed his interest in collaborating with Kiran for a movie.
On March 13, Salman Khan took to his official X page to share his review of ‘Laapataa Ladies’. He wrote, “Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah Kiran. I really enjoyed it n so did my father. Congrats on your debut as a director, superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere swath? (sic).”

While Salman mentioned that ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was Kiran’s debut film, it is to be noted that she made her debut as a director with ‘Dhobi Ghat’ in 2010.
‘Laapataa Ladies’ chronicles around two young brides who get separated during a train journey. Police officer Manohar (played by Ravi Kishan) investigates the missing case.

The film was screened at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023 and received a standing ovation.
‘Laapataa Ladies’ was produced by Aamir Khan Productions in association with Kindling Productions. Presented by Jio Studios, the film was scripted by Bipalb Goswami, Sneha Desai and Divyanidhi Sharma. The film, which released in theatres on March 1, won rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
