Chakradarpur. Devotees of Rama celebrated the first anniversary of Ramlala Pran Pratishtai on Saturday. On this occasion, arrangements were made for worship in the temples of Chakradarpur. Poojas were held in the temples since morning. Hanuman Chalisa is recited in temples. Somewhere a 24-hour non-stop recitation of the Ramayana was started. Panjamirtha abhishekam to Sri Rama was performed from 8 am in the city's Loko Rama temple. After this the worship started. Hanuman Chalisa was recited 108 times from 10 am onwards. 2100 lamps were lit in the temple at 6 pm. During this, a large number of devotees lit lamps and worshiped. Ramlala's songs echoed throughout the day in the temples. After the morning Ramlala worship was over at the Hanuman temple near the municipality office, the Ramayana recital started from 11 am to 24 hours. In the afternoon, the devotees of Rama take out a grand procession. The procession started carrying idols of Rama, Lakshmana and Sita. At this time the city resounded with the songs of Ramlala. Devotees offered flowers during the procession. Devotees carrying saffron flags raised their voices in praise of Ramji and advanced in procession. A large number of women also participated in this and chanted in praise of Lord Rama. The procession started from Hanuman Temple and reached Pawan Chowk via NH 75. From here the Pata Road passed through Old Ranchi Road to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. From here, the procession ends on reaching the Hanuman Temple via the National Highway. During this, great enthusiasm was seen among the devotees. Similar programs were also conducted in temples in cities and rural areas.
