S Jaishankar stood in line for 20 minutes, his name was not in the voter list; returned and posted a picture…
– Voting continues on 42 assembly seats of Odisha along with 58 seats of 7 states and union territories
New Delhi. Sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections: Voting for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections has started today. Voting is also being held in 58 constituencies of seven states and union territories including 42 seats of Odisha Assembly. In such a situation, an amazing incident has happened regarding Foreign Minister S Jaishankar.
S Jaishankar went out to vote in the morning. He reached the polling booth (Sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections) located at Tughlaq Lane in Delhi. There he stood in the queue for about 20 minutes. When the time came to vote, his name was not in the voter list there. He went to Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya to cast his vote. He went back from there as his name was not in the voter list. Many such cases have come to light in the case of common people. But when such a thing happened with a Union Minister, there was an uproar in the system.

Jaishankar returned home without voting. After coming home, he checked again on the Election Commission's (Sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections) website by entering the EPIC number on the voter ID card. Then his name appeared not at the polling booth of Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya but at another polling booth. After this, Jaishankar went to that polling booth again and voted.

Democracy flourishes and looks vibrant only when people actively participate in the electoral process. Prime Minister Modi has appealed that along with mothers, sisters and daughters, my special appeal is to the young voters to exercise their franchise.
