Ramadan Day 6: Dua, hadith, good deeds, and Quran readings to recite and perform

For Muslims around the world, it’s a precious time to connect with their faith and seek blessings from Allah.

As we approach Day 6 tomorrow, let’s not forget the importance of daily duas (supplications) and hadiths (sayings of Prophet Muhammad) that guide us throughout Ramadan. These prayers hold immense power and can bring us closer to Allah.

Day 6:

  • Dua: “”Allahumma ahdini li ahsanil-a’maal wa ahsanil-akhlaaq, la yahdii li ahsanihaa illa anta wa qini sayyi’al-a’maal wa sayyi’al-akhlaaq, la yaqi sayyi’aha illa anta.”
  • Translation: O Allah, guide me to the best of deeds and the best of manners, for none can guide to the best of them but You. And protect me from bad deeds and bad manners, for none can protect against them but You. [An-Nasa’i]
  • Meaning: “O Allah, I ask You on this day from Your favor and Your generosity, and from Your abundant giving, O Possessor of vast favor, O Most Generous.”
  • Hadith: “The best of fasting is the one that is followed by another.” (Tirmidhi)
  • Good deed: Treat your parents/ spouse/ children/ siblings with gentleness and kindness. Help them with anything they need. Make du’a to Allah for them to be forgiven, granted mercy and Jannatul Firdaus.
  • Quran reading: Surahs to recite: From: An-Nisa’ – 148 – To Al-Ma’idah – 81

Remember, these are just a few examples, and there are many other beautiful duas and hadiths you can incorporate into your Ramadan routine. The most important thing is to pray with sincerity and devotion.
