Shashi Tharoor's bungalow filled with water
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's bungalow in Lutyens' Delhi has also been flooded. Tharoor wrote on X, “This is the corner right outside my house in Lutyens' Delhi. Got up in the morning and saw my whole house-rooms submerged in one foot of water. Carpets and furniture, everything on the floor was ruined. Apparently the storm water drains in the neighbourhood are clogged, so there is no place for the water to drain out. Turned off the electricity from 6 am itself for fear of electrocution to people. Informed my parliamentary colleagues that I cannot reach there without a boat. But the city managed to drain the water from the roads and I reached on time.” Tharoor is a Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
