President Draupadi Murmu reached New Zealand, honored with Royal Guard of Honor
Wellington: Indian President Draupadi Murmu is currently on a three-nation visit. She reached New Zealand on Wednesday on the second leg of her visit. Today she reached Wellington city of New Zealand. Here she paid floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Lington Railway Station. President Draupadi Murmu paid floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi near Wellington Railway Station. The legacy of the Mahatma is a guiding light for mankind. His timeless teachings continue to inspire us. President Murmu also paid floral tribute to the martyred soldiers at the Fukaiahu National War Memorial in Wellington.”

Fukihu National War Memorial completes 100 years
Jaiswal said tribute to those who lost their lives for peace and freedom. President Draupadi Murmu paid tribute at the Wellington Fukiaihu War Memorial today. The Fukiaihu National War Memorial was inaugurated on 18 April 2015 and was constructed to mark 100 years of World War I.
Expansion of bilateral relations
President Draupadi Murmu met New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters. The two leaders acknowledged the progress in bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in several areas.
Apart from this, Draupadi Murmu participated in the traditional Maori Powhiri ceremony in Wellington.

The President was welcomed with a traditional Maori Powhiri ceremony. She was also given a Royal Guard of Honour.
