PM Modi: New flight of development in Silvassa, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 2,580 crore
Dadar Nagar Haveli: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched various development projects in Silvassa and reiterated the commitment to develop it as a modern city. He said that Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu are not only union territories, but are the pride and heritage of the country. With rapidly growing industries, new basic facilities and employment opportunities, the region is becoming an important part of the country's development model. PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Rs 2,580 crore projects, including projects of road, education, health and digital connectivity. He said that these schemes will provide better facilities to the local people as well as provide new employment opportunities.
Revolution in health sector from Namo Hospital
The Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of NAMO Hospital in Silvassa, which would have a 450 -bed capacity. This hospital will be with modern facilities and will benefit tribal communities, especially. He reminded that Namo Medical College was introduced in 2023 and now health services are being strengthened through this hospital. Along with this, the government is working on a plan to open 25,000 Jan Aushadhi Centers across the country, which can provide cheap and good quality medicines.

Extension of basic facilities, creation of new opportunities
PM Modi said that every citizen is benefiting from schemes like 'One Nation, One Ration Card', 'Jal Jeevan Mission' and 'Bharatnet' by the government. New smart classrooms are being created in Silvasa to strengthen digital connectivity and improve the field of education. With this, students will be linked to the modern education system. PM Modi also said that the infrastructure is being further strengthened in the region, which will increase the possibilities of investment here and create new employment opportunities.
