Patna youth will exhibit rare documents, books and paintings in an exhibition organized on the anniversary of Qutbakhsh Khan.
Himanshu Dev Guta Baksh Diwas celebrations are organized in the first week of August on the birthday (August 2) and death anniversary (August 3) of Mohammad Guta Baksh Khan, the pride of the city of Patna and the founder of Guta Baksh Library. . Its founder Guta Baksh's birthday was celebrated on Friday. His memorial day is celebrated on Saturday i.e. 3rd August. On this occasion, Gutha Paksh Diwas celebrations began with an exhibition of rare explanatory manuscripts. Hundreds of people from the city had come to witness this. Filled with rare documents, books and paintings, this library is famous not only in the city, but also in the country and the world. You can estimate the importance and value of Gutabaksh Library from the fact that this library is known as the second largest library in the world after the Library of Turkey. Twenty five painting manuscripts were displayed in the exhibition held at the library. Indian Painting, Persian Painting, Mughal Painting, Turkish Painting, Rajput Painting and Tanjore Painting are kept. Let us tell you that the manuscripts include Shahnama, Fatuh al-Haramain, Qamza Nizami, Rak Ragini, Gulistan, Postan, Sahar al-Bayan, Barju Nama, Hamla Haidari, Qulliyadeh Sadi, Haft Aurang, Qursi Nama etc. Some of these are five hundred years old or more. All these manuscripts are in very good condition and the paintings are also perfectly preserved. Khurshid Alam of Khuda Baksh Library has a thousand year old Arabic painting in the library, as if the books do not conflict with each other, the environment of the library teaches friendship between one and us. Everyone knows how important a good person is to a happy environment. He said that among the paintings in the library, the oldest is an Arabic painting. The painting is a thousand years old and the world's first book on surgery, called Kitab al-Tasarif. Among these illustrated manuscripts are several manuscripts, especially those of the Shanama. There are great explanatory texts about Hinduism like Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Sire Akbar. This is our cultural heritage. Keep it safe. Awareness should be created among people and knowledge spread. Today is Kuta Baksh Khan's memorial day. On this occasion, Quran Ghani, Fatiha and Kulboshi will be held from 7.30 am to 9 am. More than 14 thousand letters written by famous people, writers, poets and intellectuals of the country are preserved here. There are digital folios of over 12 lakh manuscripts. More than 600 titles are published in English, Urdu, Persian, Arabic and Turkish languages. A collection of 43 manuscript paintings of gods and goddesses was recently published. Its price is 2000 rupees. At the same time, a collection of letters written by Mahatma Gandhi and 29 others was published. The initiative was taken by the then director Shaista Khan. The exhibition showcases 132 paintings of gods and goddesses, a manuscript of the Thanjavur painting made in 1884, a collection of 130 gods and goddesses including Sri Krishna and Vishnu. 40 Indian paintings by Tulsidas in the 18th century, 20 paintings from the Ramayana in 1778, Srimad Bhagavad Gita by Maharishi Ved Vyas from the 18th century, Srimad Bhagavad Gita by Bhupat etc are kept. At the same time, these pillars are important from a cultural and political perspective. One of these pillars is near Indu Rao Hospital in North Delhi and the other is in Ferozsha Kotla Fort. All the seven inscriptions of Ashoka are engraved on this pillar. 12 paintings in Nastalik script are on display. There is also a 550-year-old manuscript of Nizami Ghaznavi, among the major extant manuscripts, visitors can find a 550-year-old manuscript of Nizami Ghaznavi in Nastalik script. It bears the seals of Shahjahan's court nobles Inayat Khan and Abdul Rashid Tailami. Apart from this, 54 Iranian paintings have also been placed. At the same time, among the eight paintings of small paintings, Salim Shah Bin Sher Shah, Babur's Childhood and Rani Jotabai are also placed. Organized on the occasion of Gutabakhsh Khan's memorial day, the exhibition will bring the youth of Patna face-to-face with rare documents, books and paintings.
