Pakistani People React to Atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, Say ‘Hindustan Kashmir Mein Zulm …’
Pakistani People React on Hindu Atrocities: A dispute about reservations sparked the wave of protests in Bangladesh, which became violent and rocked the nation. After multiple students were killed, the protests—which had been started by students at first—grew into a national issue. Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister, fled the country due to severe unrest and is currently in India. There have been multiple lynchings and the demolition of Hindu temples in Bangladesh as a result of the hate and discrimination directed towards the Hindu minority. As these occurrences occur, Pakistani reactions to the issue are starting to become popular on social media.
Pakistani People React to Hindus Facing Atrocities in Bangladesh
Pakistani YouTubers often share videos documenting Pakistani people views on various topics, and recently, a channel named Real Entertainment TV uploaded a video that has since gone viral. The video features ordinary Pakistanis discussing a range of issues, from the 1971 war to labeling the Bangladeshi people as “Baaghi” (rebels). However, one particular opinion has caught the attention of many.
In the video, the YouTuber asks a Pakistani man about the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, mentioning reports that warn of India’s potential intervention if the violence doesn’t cease. The man responds, “India ko Azad Kashmir ya Mukt Kashmir nazar nahi aata, wahan wo violation kar rahe hain sarkari taur par. Theek hai Bangladesh mein zyada madi hai, zyada minority hai, zyada akliyat hai, zyada Hindu hain aur Musalmanon par zulm ho raha hai, wo unko nazar nahi aa raha. Hindustan mein maqbooza Kashmir mein Hindustan kar raha hai, India kar raha hai, wo. India ko sharam aani chahiye.” (India does not see Azad Kashmir or Mukt Kashmir; they are violating it on a governmental level. Okay, in Bangladesh, there are more minorities, more Hindus, and Muslims are being oppressed, but India doesn’t see that. They should be ashamed of it.)
Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus Steps in as Interim Leader
Amid the political turmoil in Bangladesh, Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus has been sworn in as the chief adviser of the country’s interim government. This development occurred just three days after Sheikh Hasina was ousted from her position, fleeing to India in the wake of violent protests. Yunus’s appointment as head of the caretaker government marks a significant turning point in the crisis, as the country grapples with both political instability and the escalating violence against its minority Hindu community.
