Pakistan News: A historic Hindu temple was demolished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
The biggest blow to the faith of Hindus has come in the neighboring country Pakistan. A historic Hindu temple has been demolished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. A historical Hindu temple near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has been razed to the ground by the government. Now a commercial complex will be built in place of this temple. Before the India-Pakistan partition, this temple and all the surrounding land belonged to the Hindus and there was a big historical temple at this place, which the nearby Hindus used to come here to visit. However, after partition, the natives migrated to India. After the Khyber Temple, the movement of people gradually reduced. A project to build a complex has been initiated at this location.
Officials of Pakistan’s administrative department have denied having knowledge of the existence of the Hindu temple. The system has also claimed that the complex being built on the site of the temple is being built as per the rules. A local person claimed that there was a historical Hindu temple in Kotal Bazaar which was located in the center of Landi Kotal Bazaar. It was closed in 1947 after local Hindu families migrated to India.
This temple was damaged after the Babri incident in Ayodhya.
After the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, India in 1992, some anti-social elements partially damaged the temple. The local further told that there was a Hindu temple here during his childhood. People used to come here to visit. The protection of religious and historical buildings is the responsibility of the administration and local government.
