OnePlus to Exit Smart TV and Monitor Market in India; Section Removed From Official Site

Note, that one can access the smart TV’s catalogue on the official website. After clicking on the buy now button, it will redirect to an empty page saying “404: This page is unavailable.”

To recall, OnePlus started selling its smart TVs back in 2019 in India, offering the Y, U, and Q series of smart TVs. The smart TVs from the brand used to deliver a premium design experience in even the sub-50K price segment.

Not only OnePlus, Realme also stopped selling smart TVs in India. To note, both brands belong to the same parent company BBK Electronics Corporation, which is split into three individual entities Oppo, Vivo, and BBK Education Electronics.

Both OnePlus and Realme come under Oppo, while Vivo’s subsidiaries include iQOO. Vivo and iQOO do not have smart TVs in India, more focusing on smartphones and IoT products. So, there is a chance that both OnePlus and Realme will follow the same strategy.

However, OnePlus has not shared any official statement regarding discontinuing the smart TVs and Monitors in the country. You can still buy a OnePlus TV from e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.

Since OnePlus has delisted its category from the official site, you might not get any service even if you are opting for one from other e-commerce channels. The Indian market has a wide range of smart TVs from brands like Samsung, Sony, and others.

We suggest you go for the other brands. Even Blaupunkt and Xiaomi have a wide range of Android TVs in the country, priced under the sub-15K segment.
