Now women's uterus removal surgery will be monitored, Supreme Court issued this order…

New Delhi:- After the order of the Supreme Court, unnecessary hysterectomy surgeries will be monitored in the state. For this, a 16-member state level committee has been formed on Tuesday. ACS Health Manoj Pingua will be the chairman of the committee. There has been a uterus scandal in the state. Some doctors, in greed for money, removed the uterus of women by showing fear of cancer. Although unnecessary surgeries have decreased after this incident, but some doctors are still on the target. To monitor hysterectomy, a committee meeting will be held every 6 months. In this, district-wise hysterectomy data will be reviewed. By looking at the data, it will be possible to tell whether women's uteruses are being removed unnecessarily or not. A training program will also be held for doctors doing surgery in government and private hospitals. So that information about the guidelines of hysterectomy can be given.
Talking to experts, it was found that the uterus should be removed only if there is uncontrolled bleeding, severe pain or the possibility of cancer. The woman's age should be more than 40 years. In such a situation, the uterus can be removed. The consent of the patient is also necessary in this. However, some doctors claim that many times women, in distress, ask for removal of the uterus themselves. In 2011-12, some gynecologists and general surgeons of Aabhanpur area and the capital used to remove the uterus of women by showing fear of cancer. At that time, it was included in the package of National and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme. Some doctors had done such cases in greed for money. After that, private hospitals were excluded from the package of health smart card. Similarly, caesarean delivery, cataract and dental treatment were excluded from the package. In this also, many doctors took advantage of the scheme in the wrong way.
