The notification issued by the Central Government said that “The above instructions have been reviewed and it has been decided to remove the mention of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the relevant office memorandums of 30 November 1966, 25 July 1970 and 28 October 1980.”
Congress lodged objection
The main opposition party Congress has opposed this decision of the Center. Congress leader Pawan Khera has posted on his social media account X and wrote that “58 years ago, the central government had banned government employees from participating in RSS activities, but now the Modi government has overturned that order.”
