No relief for Bibhav Kumar in Swathi Maliwal case, police custody extended for 3 days
A court has ordered three-day police custody of Bibhav Kumar, accused in the case of allegedly assaulting Aam Aadmi MP Swati Maliwal. Delhi's Dees Hazari Court delivered the verdict on Tuesday. Now Biphav Kumar will be produced in court on May 31. This is the second time that Biphav Kumar has been sent to police custody. Earlier he was detained for 4 days. Police arrested Bibhav Kumar for assaulting Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP and former president of Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal. The case came up for hearing on Tuesday in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Gorav Goyal of this Hazari court. Following this, the court sent Bibhav Kumar to police custody for the second time. The next hearing of the case will be held on May 31. The Delhi Police had requested to remand Bibav Kumar for 5 days while he was in custody for 5 days. Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal investigated the entire case and sent Biba to police custody for 3 days. Now Bibau will appear in court on May 31 from 3 pm to 4 pm. Bibhav Kumar, accused in the case of allegedly assaulting Swati Maliwal, was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 18. On May 24, the court sent Biba to police custody for 4 days, which ended on Tuesday. Subsequently, the Delhi Police produced Biba before the court. Swati Maliwal alleged that Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal had accused Bibhav Kumar of assaulting her at the Chief Minister's House on May 13. After the matter escalated, the Delhi Police conducted a medical examination on Swati Maliwal. Subsequently, a case was registered and Bibhav Kumar was arrested. Recently, a bail plea was also filed on behalf of Bibhav Kumar, which was rejected by the court.
