No confusion and challenge in Purvanchal, NDA will win everywhere: Anupriya Patel
Anupriya Patel, sitting MP and candidate for UP's Mirzapur Lok Sabha constituency, spoke candidly in an exclusive interview with TV9's Bharatvarsh. He responded on issues like Apna Dal's participation in the NDA, electoral parity, opposition allegations, women's reservation and Muslim reservation. He also said that the National Democratic Alliance's performance in Purvanchal will be good in this Lok Sabha election. Attacking the opposition parties, MP Anupriya Patel said that all the political parties used Purwanjal as political fodder. This area has seen development after the Modi regime. People here have felt a change in their lives. This is why the public is supporting us. “Earlier Mirzapur was considered a backward area,” says Anupriya, who contested and won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Mirzapur. He won the next election from here as well. Mirzapur has progressed a lot in the last ten years. Earlier Mirzapur was considered a backward area. I spent time among people. He worked a lot for them. A medical college was built. AYUSH Hospital was built. Kendriya Vidyalaya was built. Anbriya said that our government is under the leadership of Modi. All NDA alliance parties have their own strengths. As the Samajwadi candidate is contesting in Mirzapur, a political maze has been created against him, he said, adding that there is no maze or challenge. All the candidates of other parties are sure to contest the election. Mirzapur and I have a relationship of ten years. The only option left for them now is to spread rumours, alleging that the BJP will end reservation if it gets more than 400 seats, but the opposition has lost hope, he said. He has no vision or direction. Now their only recourse is to spread rumours. But this does not yield any results. Regarding Muslim reservation, Anbriya said all the backward castes were included in the recommendations implemented by the Mandal Commission. They get the benefit of reservation. How much representation does Apna Dal get within the NDA? He replied that there is no such problem. We are a regional party. BJP is a national party. Every party wants to expand itself. We are working for our party. All this continues in alliance. How many asanas we are talking about can never be made clear in the media. 'We have given 100 percent shares to 100 women' I do not want to say anything about women candidates contesting the elections. The success or failure of women in any politics will be decided by the public. I will not advise anyone. My party is contesting elections in two seats. Both the seats are for women. Through this we have issued 100 percent shares.
