Employment: People will earn through battery operated flour mill in Bihar. The battery-powered flour mill has been developed by the Center for Studies in Heritage and Systems (CSTS) to provide employment opportunities and prevent migration of skilled workers from the state. CSTS has developed a program called 'Saksham' to take employment oriented initiative to people in remote villages. The CSTS project 'Saksham: Empowerment through Livelihood' will be launched on 29 November 2024 by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. CSTS founder Savita Jha said the battery-based flour mill would create employment in Bihar's rural areas. Empowerment through Livelihood' aims to create extensive employment opportunities for the disabled, women and youth in rural areas. Under this project we have developed a battery operated flour mill system based on a specially designed design. This flour mill is installed on tricycle. The organization will provide door-to-door services in villages. These mills produce flour, protein-rich milk and fresh spices. This will not only create employment opportunities but also provide healthy food options to the consumers of the area. Nirmala Sitharaman will provide battery powered flour mills to 10 beneficiaries, CSTS founder Savita Jha added. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will provide three-wheeled flour mills to 10 specially-abled beneficiaries while launching the 'Saksham' scheme. This pilot program of CSTS is committed to improve the livelihood opportunities of the Govt. This initiative is made possible with the support of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Arvind Jha, founder of Mithila Stake, said that CSTS has developed an app called 'Saksham Mithila' that will help users book mobile mill services near them. This app offers the convenience of taking complete care of cleanliness from the comfort of your own home. Interested users can register to operate these mobile units through the app. The app has been developed in collaboration with Darbhanga-based IT/ITES solutions company Mithila Stock. Every month Rs. 5 to 8 thousand in revenue: CSTS estimates that under this initiative, more than 1000 mobile units can be installed in the region, through which the service providers can earn Rs 5000-8000 every month. Financial assistance will be provided in collaboration with CSR programs for the differently abled and women and in partnership with banks and microfinance institutions for youth.
