NEET UG 2024: Suspense in counselling, scheduled to begin from today

Controversy is going on regarding NEET UG Exam 204. The matter has reached the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, NTA has conducted the re-examination of NEET UG Exam 204 on June 23. After that now medical counseling committee i.e. MCC will release the NEET counseling schedule. Under such circumstances, it was expected that the counseling schedule might be on Saturday i.e. 6th July. After that, all the students who clear the exam can get admission in the allotted medical colleges. To participate in NEET UG counselling, candidates must qualify NEET UG 2024 and also achieve a minimum percentile score. In fact, the counseling for students who have cleared the NEET UG exam starts from today. As per the calendar published earlier, the counseling is expected to be held from July 6 onwards. However, no information about this has been given to the students yet. It is said that the counseling date will be announced soon through the website. Students are checking the official website as NEET counseling may be delayed in the Supreme Court which is scheduled to be held on July 8. In such a situation, all the candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website mcc.nic.in so that they can get the latest information. However, officials have not confirmed the delay in NEET counseling. Students must register for counseling in NEET UG. First, students have to register online at the official website of MCC. During this, students have to enter their NEET UG roll number, registration number and other important details in the counseling registration form. A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud will hear it. More than 30 petitions have been filed against the alleged malpractices in NEET UG 2024, which are pending hearing. Meanwhile, on Friday, the Center told the Supreme Court that NEET UG 2024 will not be cancelled. This is in the interest of students who have unfairly appeared in the examination. The central government says that canceling the exam altogether will cause injustice to lakhs of honest candidates. NEET UG result released on 4th June. As a result, 1563 students were given mercy marks due to special circumstances, which the students expressed their displeasure with. Massive protests are taking place in many states of the country. The matter went to the Supreme Court, after which the NEET UG re-examination was held on June 23, in which only 813 students out of 1563 appeared for the re-examination. Whereas in NEET UG 2024, the number of toppers has decreased from 67 to 61.
